We know how heartbreaking it is when a special keepsake accidentally takes a tumble! While our acrylic plaques are highly durable, a hard drop onto a solid surface can sometimes cause the edges to chip or crack.
Here is what you should do if your plaque gets damaged:
1. Safety First
Please handle the plaque with extreme care! While acrylic does not shatter into tiny pieces like traditional glass, a chipped edge or crack can still be very sharp and cause cuts.
2. Can I repair the chip?
Unfortunately, clear acrylic is very difficult to repair seamlessly at home. We do not recommend using superglue, epoxy, or glass fillers. These adhesives almost always dry cloudy, yellow, or textured, which can make the damage look more noticeable and ruin the clear aesthetic of your plaque.
3. What are my options?
-
If it arrived damaged: If your plaque was chipped during shipping, please Contact Us immediately with a clear photo of the damage and the original packaging. We will gladly arrange a replacement for you right away!
-
If it was an accident at home: We understand that life happens! While accidental drops at home are not covered under our shipping warranty, please still reach out to our support team. Provide a photo of the plaque and your original order number—we would love to see what we can do to help you replace your special memory.
